The Story
Although the tree has life, it cannot speak. But since there is life, there must be a feeling of pain in the tree. Trees are the most useful friends of human beings — they give us flowers, fruits, crops, oxygen and shade. Even in disaster management, their role is undeniable. Yet, in return, we give them nothing but pain.
We destroy trees without reason, wound them with nails and sharp things. By cutting them mercilessly for our own benefit, we reveal our selfishness and our moral blindness. People can express their feelings when they are hurt — but trees cannot. Their screams fade into silence, their wounds unseen, their pain unspoken.
“Silent Sorrow” is our small attempt to portray the silent cry of the tree — a reminder that nature feels, even when it cannot speak.
Through poetic visuals and sound, this short film reflects the deep connection between humans and nature. It reminds us that empathy should not be limited to words — but extended to everything that lives. Because when we hurt a tree, we hurt a part of ourselves.
